Shit CD's say – A gif-ography

Great friends and creatives on the QLD and NSW Youngbloods committees, Alessia and Katelyn share a gifography of ‘feedbacking’.

Words and GIFS by Alessia Castiglione and Katelyn Testa.

Along with the rest of the industry, we and our fellow colleagues have received a thorough feedbacking in our time. Creative Directors always critique our work. Now it’s our turn to critique their thoughts by ranking real feedback - from harshest to most empathetic.

Isn't that the point!? Probably don’t show less faith than the world in Trump when being presented work by your creative team. Where did we go so wrong?

Ranking: 3/10

2 I_m-Trying-Hard-To-Love-It.gif

Try harder. Just kidding, plenty more where that came from, just give me 55 hours over the allotted brief time and I’ll have a shiner.

Ranking: 4/10

3 I_ll-Just-Do-It.gif

Ahh, the dreaded “you’re not doing it good enough” in disguise. Comments like this may have a negative effect on your creative person’s self-esteem, causing them to doubt their work with every new brief. But seriously, let us do it. We want to get it right.

Ranking: 4/10

Inanimate objects carved from the earth for our wearable pleasure, human beings - same thing!

Ranking: 5/10

5 It_s-Good-Keep-Going.gif

Keep going where????!!! Kind of nice, kind of ehhhh…..?  Maybe you have something in mind, but maybe we’ll go down some unexpected rabbit hole which twists into an unimaginable scenario that you’ll end up canning. Let’s head in one direction - left or right?

Ranking: 5/10

6 I-Really-Dig-This.gif

Ok cool cool, supportive, trusting, etc. Not bad.

Ranking: 9/10

7 Stop-Saying-Sorry.gif

Boom! Supportive, empathetic and builds trust in the team. (Where were you in every agency ever?).

Ranking: 10/10

CDs, take note. And know we’re allllways listening - to the good and the bad.
